Financial Advice Host Ric Edelman Wraps Three Decades In Front Of The Mic. | Story

Ric Edelman, who spent 35 years hosting a financial advice show before launching his daily podcast “The Truth About Your Future” in January 2023, says his time in front of the microphone has come to an end. Edelman says he will end his daily podcast to focus on several new projects, including opening a museum.

“After 35 years on the air, more than 1,500 radio broadcasts that aired on 100 radio stations over the last three decades, and more than 500 podcasts in the last three years alone, it’s time to move on to new things,” a statement from Edelman read.

Edelman ended his weekend radio financial advice show in 2021 and launched “The Truth About Your Future with Ric Edelman” a syndicated weekend show that aired highlights from the week’s podcast episodes.

The daily The Truth About Your Future podcast has covered financial issues related to longevity, retirement security, exponential technologies, blockchain and digital assets, and health and wellness. He previously hosted the podcast, “The Truth About Money” from 2016 to 2019.

In addition to his financial services business, Edelman plans to focus on his diagnostic research company, Durin Technologies, whose first test for early detection of a neurodegenerative disease launches early next year. He also runs Tiny Orange Capital, which plans to expand its investments in the fintech, expotech, and crypto sectors.

He and his wife Jean are also expanding their philanthropic activities, and Edelman also plans to launch the Museum of Personal Finance in 2026.

While The Truth About Your Future podcast is coming to an end, the brand will live on. And Edelman has announced that he has promoted Don Friedman to CEO to run the operation. He has been President of TheTAYF since 2020. Going forward, Friedman will expand operations and educational initiatives with webinars and in-person conferences planned.

“So much is new in the field of financial planning and investing, and advisors and investors alike need independent, objective content they can rely on and which we are uniquely qualified to provide,” Edelman remarked.
